Align v1.3.0 ​

This release introduces commenting on Phrases, faster content alignment, new session management, and better error handling across imports and exports.

Features ​

Comments ​

  • New Comments sidebar panel to add and view comments on Phrases.
  • Toggle Comments from the Contextual Toolbar or "c" hotkey.
  • Phrases with comments are highlighted with a yellow dot next to their status.
  • Support for multiple paragraphs, and bold, italic and underline formatting.

Session Management ​

  • New global session manager preventing lost connections in open windows.
  • Idle sessions now warn before timing out, presenting a re-authentication dialog to continue working.
  • Background tabs now more reliably reconnect when returning.
  • Sessions are established more securely and more gracefully managed in the background.

Content Alignment ​

  • Alignment tasks now scale compute based on script size, up to 2x faster for large scripts.

Project Export ​

  • Export files are now served through signed CDN links for faster, more reliable delivery.
  • Empty SRT and MIDI exports are no longer created when there are no matches.
  • AAC transcoded audio exports are now .m4a files for broader playback support.

Script Import ​

  • CSV import now identifies the exact row and field that prevents an import.
  • More reliable and detailed alerts when an invalid CSV file cannot be imported.

Session Management ​

  • Max. session lifetime increased to reduce mid-session interruptions.

General ​

  • The right sidebar is now a hybrid element which can present the Audio Bin or Comments panel.
  • New right sidebar toggle control alongside the content search filter – presents last used context.

Export ​

  • Multiple script exports from the same Project no longer cause delays.

Script Import ​

  • Errors during import are no longer suppressed.

This release introduces improved content deletion options, new script import features, better background activity feedback, and transliterated content in MIDI exports.

Features ​

Project ​

  • Projects can now be deleted via their Project Card on the Dashboard, or from within a project via the Project Information card.
  • Background tasks now provide more granular feedback as they complete.

Script Import ​

  • Scripts can now be imported from a plain text (.txt) file, with each line as a phrase.
  • Automatically segment content into sentences using intelligent phrase detection via a new Script Editor toolbar.

Audio Bin ​

  • Individual transcript segments can now be deleted directly from the Audio Bin using the inline menu or in bulk via the selection toolbar.

Export ​

  • MIDI export now defaults to transliterated content for marker labels, improving reliability and offering broader DAW compatibility.

Improved ​

Script Import ​

  • Text and CSV imports now automatically detect and convert character encodings for more reliable formatting.

General ​

  • Onboarding emails are now branded, delivered via the voxann.com domain, and fully signed for easier verification and reduced likelihood they’ll be flagged as spam.

Export Composer ​

  • The Export Composer panel now ensures all data is loaded before allowing a request.

Fixed ​

Export ​

  • Fixed an issue where the Export Composer panel could fail to fully load when opened quickly via its hotkey.
  • Larger exports with transcoded segments no longer fail to complete.

General ​

  • Audio that cannot be successfully processed no longer stalls the queue.
